He collaborates extensively with his wife, actress Jeannie Gaffigan, and together they have five children. They are Catholic, a topic that comes up in his comedy, and live in Manhattan, New York City.
Obsessed - Influences - Netflix
Gaffigan credits David Letterman and Bill Murray as influences, and he has asserted that Richard Pryor was the greatest stand-up comedian ever. His comedy mentor was Dave Attell, who he asserted was the only person who thought he was funny in his early stand-up years. On the episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee which featured Gaffigan, he admitted that the show's host Jerry Seinfeld was a big influence for him.
