Barun Sobti (born 21 August 1984) is an Indian television and film actor. He started his acting career with the Star Plus' faith-oriented television series Shraddha (2009), and after a cameo in a negative role in the medical TV series, Dill Mill Gayye, Sobti played the lead role in the Sony TV series Baat Hamari Pakki Hai (2010), where he portrayed a carefree and irresponsible young man. Sobti starred in Star Plus' show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? for his portrayal as an angry and arrogant business tycoon. He made his Bollywood debut in the film Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014), where he played a loud, enthusiastic man with dreams of becoming an actor. In 2017, Sobti debuted into the digital space with the Hotstar Originals' series Tanhaiyan, in which he played the role of a casanova. He made his television comeback with Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3 (2017) in which he played the role of an anti-hero on a revenge mission. Sobti's second film, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, was released in 2017.
